If you're coming to Durban this summer then you would have been asked to come along to our Orientation weekend back in March. If you were there you'll remember we held a few sessions on all sorts of stuff and gave you a few handouts. We’re delighted to tell you that online registration with Key Travel is now open, and we’re sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please note: registration is only available to those delegates who have been accepted by Soul Survivor, and received their letter/email of confirmation. If you are still waiting to hear from us, please ensure your referees have received and returned the reference forms to ensure a speedy turn around of your application. Due to long negotiations between us and Key Travel, and some circumstantial delays your deposit cheques have not yet been cashed. They will not be banked UNTIL you have registered with Key Travel using the online form www.keytravel.co.uk/bookingForm.
Due to a recent change of legislation, you can no longer purchase your insurance directly through Key Travel. Now you’ll pay less to Key Travel directly (£548 instead of £599), but you will have to purchase your insurance separately. Soul Survivor will be directing you to Endsleigh for you to buy your policy. We would prefer all delegates to take insurance with Endsleigh to ensure that the handling of claims and emergencies whilst in South Africa is more straightforward. Purchase your insurance HERE choosing the comprehensive cover option.
We would ask that you carefully consider the airline you fly with and how you purchase your ticket in the current financial climate. With so many smaller airlines collapsing we would strongly recommend you fly with a large company, book your ticket through an ATOL protected travel agent and use a credit card to pay for your flight. More information can be found on the Civil Aviation Authority Website, www.caa.co.uk.
Key Travel is an ATOL registered travel agent, so do ask them for a quote for your flight - they may also be able to price match some deals found elsewhere.
This will be held at Soul Survivor Watford Church on the 14th March 2009, from 9am until 9pm. Please put this in your diary now, and we'll be in touch with more information later.
As you probably know, Mikey P is a pretty busy man and he's usually got a full diary for month's in advance... In terms of SOULINTHECITY Durban this means he won't be flying out to South Africa with the rest of us as he's doing something somewhere. In fact he's already going to be in South Africa, so he'll be involved in the whole initiative from Day 1 to Day 14... you just might not get to hear him snore on the flight over (lucky you).
You will need to book flights to arrive in Durban by 4pm on the 8th July. Before 4pm we'll arrange shuttle buses to take you to your accommodation. The event will finish after breakfast on 21st July. We'll also arrange transport to the airport for you from then.
